Recensito in Italia il 15 settembre 2018 Acquisto verificato Da brava tolkieniana di ferro, pur possedendo in versione cartacea tutto ciò che di JRRT è stato pubblicato in italiano, più diversi saggi, ho comprato anche la versione digitale per averlo sempre a portata di mano e d anche perchè, essendo un grosso tomo, ne è più agevole la consultazione sul mio kindle. Dopo il grande successo della trilogia cinematografica è inutile ripercorrere la storia narrata. Parlerei di epopea, ed in fin dei conti non credo di esagerare perchè anche nell'Odissea, nell'Eneide, si narra di vicende fantastiche e non reali. Inoltre spesso pochi ricordano che, alla base dell'opera, c'è l'enorme competenza dell'autore in materia di mitologia nordica e di linguistica alto anglosassone, ciò che rende decisamente riduttivo pensare a Tolkien come a uno scrittore di fantasy, adatto ai ragazzi.
