En la pelicula Son Como Niños 2, después de treinta años Lenny ha decidido volver a su pueblo con su familia para llevar una vida tranquila. Lo sucedido en la película anterior también ha ayudado a Lenny y a su mujer a tomar la decisión. En su pueblo, Lenny se reencuentra con algunos de sus antiguos conocidos y amigos, aunque lo cierto es que la vida no ha cambiado demasiado en su pueblo, como pasa en todos los pueblos del mundo, en donde parece que el tiempo pasa más despacio. Allí sigue habiendo abusones en el colegio, los conductores del autobús escolar siguen siendo unos borrachos y los policías no están demasiado cuerdos. Todo esto puede amargarle la llegada a su pueblo a Lenny. En la cinta veremos el último día de colegio y la fiesta que se monta, en la cual parece que los únicos cuerdos son los niños, que darán una lección de madurez a sus padres, los cuales no han crecido demasiado a pesar de la edad que tienen. Die Handlung von "Die Unglaublichen 2" knüpft direkt an der des ersten Teils an. Darin taucht plötzlich der "Underminer" wieder auf und überfällt mit seinem riesigen Maulwurf-Mobil eine Bank. Bei dem anschließenden Versuch, den Räuber zur Strecke zu bringen, wird die gesamte Stadt dermaßen in Mitleidenschaft gezogen, dass die Regierung beschließt das Programm der Superhelden zum Schutz der Bürger zu beenden. Das bedeutet, dass Familie Parr alias Die Unglaublichen plötzlich arbeitslos ist. Doch dann kommt das rettende Angebot eines Unternehmer-Geschwisterpaares: die Finanzierung eines Projekts zur Legalisierung weiterer Superhelden-Einsätze. Mutter Helen alias Elasticgirl soll dabei mit ihren Heldentaten für die nötige PR sorgen. Während Elasticgirl vor der Kamera Verbrecher bekämpft, bleibt Bob alias Mr. Unglaublich jedoch nichts anderes übrig, als im neuen Luxus-Apartment (das alte ist im ersten Teil Die Unglaublichen abgebrannt) den chaotischen Alltag eines dreifachen Familienvaters zu meistern.
