The majority of the criticism about Eddie wanting to cook comes from his father and that's also who recieves the teachable moment. But after the fact, Eddie's dad acts as if he's perfectly fine with his son choosing cooking over baseball; no adjustment or absorption to the idea or anything. BUT. THE. MOST. UPSETTING. THING. ABOUT. THIS. MOVIE. (and then I'm done, I promise) is what happens at the cooking competition. So basically, Eddie's cooking competition and the playoffs for his baseball team are on the same day so he has to choose which one he's gonna go to. Because everyone's killing him about wanting to cook, he goes to the game and blows off the competition, BUT THEN they tell him it's alright if he wants to cook so he should go to the competition (like wtf?! ) and he gets there with barely more than an hour left to prepare his dish. He's running around trying to fix everything himself, but since he's got no help he hits a couple problems here and there. Then his dad gets wise, and goes to help him since he's there by himself, and he completes his dish, but loses anyway... what I have the most issue with is that EDDIE'S FATHER IS POTENTIALLY THE BIGGEST REASON THAT HE LOST THE COMPETITION AND IT IS COMPLETELY SWEPT UNDER THE RUG AND NEVER ADDRESSED.
Trama Giannino (Vitali) è un bambino terribile, unico figlio maschio della famiglia Stoppani, composta da tre sorelle in età da marito e da un padre, ricco commerciante nella Roma umbertina. Tutta la famiglia vive con l'incubo delle marachelle combinate da Giannino, soprannominato, non a caso, Gian Burrasca. Note Pier Francesco Pingitore recupera Alvaro Vitali per una versione davvero brutta del celeberrimo libro di Vamba (pseudonimo di Luigi Bertelli), "Il giornalino di Gian Burrasca". La comicità è un po' troppo greve e addirittura noiosa. Certo che Rita Pavone era un'altra cosa.
