Durante una década, entre 1943 y 1953, asesinó a varias mujeres -el número no está claro del todo aunque en la serie se atreven a dar uno hacia el final de la misma-. Pero lo mejor y más recomendable para disfrutar al máximo de esta producción es resistir la tentación y dejarse arrastrar de lleno a ese ambiente lúgubre, oscuro y asfixiante que consigue El estrangulador de Rillington Place. Tres capítulos aptos para devorarlos uno tras otro sin descanso. Tim Roth firma una de las interpretaciones más notables de su carrera Uno de los grandes aciertos de esta miniserie de la BBC y por el que se llevó un BAFTA es su fotografía. Obra de James Friend, se consigue trasladar al espectador a ese Londres húmedo, pobre y cochambroso, plagado de grises y humedad en el que viven los protagonistas y que durante una parte de la serie se encuentra bajo el asedio de los bombardeos.
