Valdés continuó desempeñando el papel de un pachuco, ahora acompañado por su carnal (hermano de otra madre) Marcelo Chávez. Cuando el grupo llegó a la Ciudad de México, Paco Miller decidió cambiar el nombre artístico de Valdés. Miller tomó prestado el nombre "Tin Tan" de Juan Muñoz Leyva, una estrella de radio chilena, conocida como "El niño de tin tan" porque concluía sus monólogos usando un vaso lleno de agua para producir el sonido "tin tan". Con este nuevo nombre artístico, tomó casi por asalto la Ciudad de México. Al poco tiempo, Germán Valdés fue contratado para trabajar en la estación de radio XEW, el hogar de las celebridades más importantes de México y que jugó un papel destacado en el lanzamiento al estrellato de muchos de los actores más famosos del país azteca.

At less that 90 minutes, this version still holds up - the villa, costumes and characters are all golden age Hollywood. The quality of the DVD could be better, as the film has obviously not been very well re-mastered - but it's great fun to see Fredric March as Prince Sirki, arguably the definitive Angel of Death, and to just enjoy seeing a genuine piece of the magic of old Hollywood.

She still can be seen in supporting roles and she is as good as she ever was - beautiful, funny, warm and tender - but she is probably unable to recapture those "A" bankable heydays. As Erica, a woman who's husband leaves her for a younger woman, Pauline Kael describes her having an "addled radiance with a floating not-quite-sure not-quite-here quality".
